The language of personal violation is harsh and chilling, and the work verges on emotional hyberbole at times, as in "worst fears" , " without stop, " " she rapes me" , but that isn't a criticism, just an observation, for the condition of the speaker is indeed extreme in her " pain body." <BR/><BR/>For some reason, perhaps because so much is being declared and told instead of revealed subtextually and shown, I didn't actually feel much of a feeling connection with this poem. Perhaps also because the work is so 'in extremis', I couldn't relate to it. But you are quite happy with its lyrical force, and I am perhaps weary of poems of accusations, recriminations and explicitly stated feelings of self loathing. This in no way means that I disregard the power of the words.
