Leonard Cohen chante (1970)

Trouvé ce matin dans un moment faible et triste, un cadeau, la lumière d'un jeune Leonard Cohen fait reposer le coeur encore en espoir avec une ancienne interprétation de "The Partisan Song".

I have changed names a hundred times
I have lost wife and children
But I have so many friends
I have all of France

Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing
through the graves the wind is blowing
Freedom soon will come

Then we'll come from these shadows
I mean these shadows

Merci beaucoup à lightning49 sur Dailymotion:

"May 13, 1970, rare French TV version of the Partisan Song on the Joe Dassin Show, "Arpèges sur Joe Dassin." Joe Dassin was an American French variety singer, son of French cineaste, Jules Dassin, who left America for Europe because he was a communist. The anglophone version of the Partisan Song was by Hy Zaret/Anna Marley, adaptation of a French song from 1943 by "Emmanuel d'Astier de la Vigerie" code named "Bernard." He was a journalist, an important French résistant, and a communist deputee. Thanks to philipchek of Paris and YouTube for helping me transcribe the French and for research about this song, and to Margaret of the UK and Leonard Cohen Forum for sharing this rare clip."
